Conscious Eyes has no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Nothing you scan, save or search is sent to us, because there is no “us” server to send it to. This page explains exactly what does leave your phone, and to whom.

All of the following is kept only in the app’s own storage on your device
(conscious-eyes.state.v1). It is never uploaded, and it is deleted
permanently when you delete the app.
There is no backup to our servers and no sync between devices. If you delete the app, this data is gone.
Conscious Eyes makes network requests to four third parties. It sends them nothing about you — no name, no account, no device identifier, no advertising ID. As with any internet request, those services will see your device’s IP address.

These requests are made only when you use the relevant feature. If you never open a shop screen, no coordinates are ever sent. If you never scan a barcode, no barcode is ever sent.
Conscious Eyes asks for camera access to do two things: read barcodes, and photograph an ingredient list when a product is not in the database.
Photographs never leave your device. When you capture an ingredient list, the text is read on your phone using Google’s ML Kit Text Recognition, which is bundled inside the app and runs entirely offline. The image is not uploaded, not sent to Google, not sent to us, and not saved to your photo library. It exists only for as long as the app is reading it.
You can photograph the front of a cosmetic so Conscious Eyes can check its promises against its own ingredient list. That photograph is read on your phone by the same offline text recognition used for ingredient lists. It is not uploaded and not stored.
Conscious Eyes asks for location access (“While Using the App”) only to answer one question: which food shops are near you right now, how far away, and are they open.
You can refuse location access, or withdraw it later in iOS Settings. The rest of the app — scanning, grading, ingredient analysis, your pantry — works normally without it.
Conscious Eyes includes a small list of products, prepared before release and shipped inside the app, used to suggest a healthier alternative in the same category. Matching happens entirely on your device; no retailer is contacted and none is told what you scanned. Each suggestion carries the date it was recorded. The app shows no prices.
Conscious Eyes is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any information from them. Since the app collects nothing at all, no child-specific data exists to delete.
Because Conscious Eyes stores nothing on any server we control, there is no personal data held by us to access, correct, export or erase. You are always in direct control:
Where the app transmits a barcode or coordinates in order to answer a request you made, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — performing the service you asked for.
If the app starts doing something new with your data, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change before that version ships.

Ihr Ernährungs- und Hautprofil (Allergene, Unverträglichkeiten, Duftstoff- und Inhaltsstoff-Einstellungen), Ihre gespeicherten Scans, Ihre Einkaufsliste und Ihre bevorzugten Geschäfte werden ausschließlich lokal auf Ihrem Gerät gespeichert. Es gibt keine Übertragung an uns, keine Sicherung und keine Synchronisation. Beim Löschen der App werden diese Daten endgültig entfernt.
Dabei werden keine Namen, Konten, Gerätekennungen oder Werbe-IDs übermittelt. Wie bei jeder Internetanfrage ist die IP-Adresse Ihres Geräts für den jeweiligen Dienst sichtbar. Diese Anfragen erfolgen nur, wenn Sie die entsprechende Funktion nutzen.
Die Kamera dient dem Scannen von Barcodes und dem Fotografieren von Zutatenlisten. Aufnahmen verlassen Ihr Gerät nicht. Die Texterkennung erfolgt vollständig offline auf Ihrem Gerät mit Google ML Kit. Das Bild wird weder hochgeladen noch gespeichert.
Der Standort wird nur bei Nutzung („Beim Verwenden der App“) und nur zur Suche nach Geschäften in Ihrer Nähe verwendet. Die Koordinaten werden nicht gespeichert; sie werden für maximal zehn Minuten im Arbeitsspeicher gehalten, um wiederholte Abfragen zu vermeiden, und danach verworfen. Die Berechtigung kann jederzeit in den iOS-Einstellungen widerrufen werden; die App funktioniert auch ohne Standort.
Die App enthält eine vor Veröffentlichung erstellte, kleine Produktliste, um eine gesündere Alternative derselben Kategorie vorzuschlagen. Der Abgleich erfolgt lokal auf Ihrem Gerät; es werden keine Daten an Händler übermittelt. Jeder Vorschlag wird mit dem Datum seiner Erhebung angezeigt. Preise werden nicht angezeigt.
Da wir keine personenbezogenen Daten auf eigenen Servern speichern, liegen bei uns keine Daten vor, die Sie auskunftsweise erhalten, berichtigen oder löschen lassen könnten. Die Löschung erfolgt durch Deinstallation der App. Rechtsgrundlage für die genannten Übermittlungen ist Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO (Erfüllung der von Ihnen angeforderten Leistung). Sie haben das Recht, sich bei einer Datenschutz-Aufsichtsbehörde zu beschweren.
